It seems either nobody is interested or maybe nobody is motivated to create new styles for Kure.
If I wasn't such a klutz with CSS I'd probably throw a few styles Kures way.

The problem is that they are ( hopefully ) developing a new version of Kure that will use different ways to manage the styles.
So, I dont think anybody would will create styles until this is done.
However if you want to create a CSS is not that hard, since Kure is "static" you only have to change color combinations, just look at the source and check what color matches with what text and modify it so you like it.

Some time ago I started out porting a few free themes from andreasviklund.com, which are among the most popular for Wordpress, to Kure but didn't finish them because of time constraints.
Sneak preview (take your time, 110mb.com can be horribly slow).
Adapting the main index file to an xhtml template is quite easy, but the admin interface can be a real bugger :(
However, if you fancy a particular free theme or template and want it ported to kure, drop a link over here and I'll see what I can do...

I'm not particular about any one theme. I sort of lean towards simple, fast, easy on the eyes themes though.
I just think the plain white with black text is nice but there should be better color combinations and have maybe 5-10 css themes shipped with kure so by default the user could choose between different color combinations that are designed to work with kure.

Yeah, Andreas has written some excellent xhtml/css templates but they are not very easy to port into a blog theme.
I'm working on it right now. I've got some small issues left to solve, however, if all goes according to plan it should be ready for download by tomorrow.
On a sidenote: I have updated the original preview link. It took some time to find out why those pages were loading so damn slow on 110mb. I finally found out it was a faulty link which was causing all the trouble, not my code...

I'm enjoying the same weather in Holland, and managed to get your kure style/modification to work tonight, looks excellent. Once I feel confident I got rid of all my crap on the server, get my login stuff up and running, etc., I will put a link in here. Thanks for sharing your version of Kure.
